The business opened its doors in 2006, initially under the name Biltong Den. In 2012 however, a decision was made to change the business from a store that was mainly selling biltong and rugby products to a deli. The Farmhouse Co. was then born and although we still offer the best biltong products which our loyal customers have become accustomed to over the years, we’ve now broaden our offering to also include a variety of other delicious products.

One of the new product lines that we are most excited about is our snack platters that will definitely make an impression at your next meeting or party. At The Farmhouse Co. we pride ourselves on going the extra mile to provide a unique and personalised food experience by using products that are fresh, delicious and out of the ordinary.

About Nadia & Dries

The whole idea to change our existing store into The Farmhouse Co. originated over a glass of delicious french bubbly and some homemade pickled olives while we were on honeymoon in Cape Town – so in love, but never forgetting the business. We decided that it was the perfect time to expand our business and to transform our biltong store into an upmarket, yet traditional deli.

We both come from traditional south african families where biltong, braais, potjies and sunday lunches are KING! We wanted to share the recipes we inherited from our mothers and grannies with everyone. When you stay in the city, food is the perfect way to bring back memories of the farm and the good old days.

Although traditional dishes are important to us, we’re also quite interested in modern food trends. So whatever your requirements, we’ll be able to meet them!
